Pennington's fellowship training includes: Harvard Shoulder Fellowship, Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, Massachusetts Nice Shoulder Fellowship, Hospital de l'Archet, Nice, France Zurich Shoulder Fellowship, University Balgrist, Zurich, Switzerland Dr. Pennington was awarded the prestigious Harvard Shoulder Fellowship and he served as clinical instructor at Massachusetts General Hospital. Pennington became interested in the pioneering technology and advanced surgical practices of shoulder surgeons in Europe. It was during this time in Dallas that Dr. Parkland is one of the busiest trauma hospitals in the United States. Pennington completed his orthopedic surgery internship and residency at Parkland Hospital at the University of Texas at Southwestern in Dallas, Texas. Whitehead Surgery Scholarship and was recognized for his research on ultrasound examinations of critically injured patients. Pennington received his medical doctorate from the Emory University School of Medicine, where he was awarded the Joseph P.
